Santa Maria Pizza Brings Neapolitan Magic to Paddington for Its 15th Anniversary

London’s favourite Neapolitan pizza spot expands again—this time, in Paddington

London’s pizza scene just got even better. Santa Maria, the Neapolitan pizzeria that’s had Londoners hooked for 15 years, is opening its sixth location in Paddington on Monday, 24th February 2025. This latest opening celebrates the brand’s impressive journey from a small, 25-seat pizzeria in Ealing to a full-blown pizza empire across the city.

The new Paddington spot sits within the historic Frontline Club, a hub for journalists and global affairs. It’s a fitting location for a brand that tells stories through the art of pizza-making, keeping Neapolitan tradition alive in the heart of London.

Santa Maria’s journey: from Ealing to Paddington

Back in 2010, Angelo Ambrosio and Pasquale Chionchio launched their first Santa Maria in Ealing. Their goal? To bring London the kind of pizza they grew up eating in Napoli. Just two months after opening, Time Out named them London’s Best Pizza, and the rest is history.

Since then, they’ve expanded into Fulham, Fitzrovia, Islington, and Kew Gardens. Each location sticks to the same formula—proper Neapolitan pizza, top-quality ingredients, and a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere.

Now, Paddington gets a slice of the action. The new location promises the same legendary dough, wood-fired perfection, and authentic Italian hospitality that has made Santa Maria a citywide favourite.

What makes Santa Maria’s pizza so special?

Plenty of pizzerias claim authenticity, but Santa Maria delivers. The secret? Proper Neapolitan technique—high-hydration dough, slow fermentation, and a scorching-hot wood-fired oven for that perfect char.

The menu is packed with crowd-pleasers, from the classic Margherita to their signature Santa Bufalina, topped with buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil. Every bite is a love letter to Naples.

But Santa Maria is more than just pizza. Their new Paddington location brings the full Neapolitan experience, serving vibrant Italian hospitality alongside world-class food.

Paddington’s newest pizza hotspot

Opening inside the Frontline Club, Santa Maria Paddington is set to attract both loyal fans and first-timers. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunchtime pizza or settling in for a long, wine-fuelled evening, this spot is about to become your new go-to.

With two openings in the past year—Kew Gardens and now Paddington—Santa Maria is on a roll. The city clearly can’t get enough of its unbeatable pizza, and now West Londoners have another excuse to indulge.

Where and when?

Santa Maria Paddington officially opens its doors on Monday, 24th February 2025. Get ready to experience the best Neapolitan pizza in London—this time, in the heart of Paddington.
