Photoexhibition Cash Cows

Credit: Dennersten Photography

Photographer Håkan Dennersten’s second  UK exhibition, Cash Cows, brings together three of work made over the last decade in Österlen, Sweden. This area of southeast Sweden is known for its artists and for drawing creative inspiration from nature and landscape.

Taking On The World is a series of cow portraits that both relate and resist a relationship with the people around them. A series of landscapes and close-ups, The Black Hit Of Space juxtaposes the natural landscape with human interventions, discarded items, and buildings that leave a slow decaying effect on the environment.

New Wave connects Dennersten’s earlier focus of photographing bands in Sweden in the 1980s and 1990s, including vinyl covers of forgotten Swedish music, and an invitation for everyone to come along to the gallery for a daily listening party at high noon.
