Blind Spot at St Martins Lane adds Brexit twist to ‘Spin the Globe’ cocktail menu

This May, Blind Spot, the late-night speakeasy at St Martins Lane hotel, will add a Brexit-inspired twist to its Spin the Globe cocktail menu by offering a 17% discount (matching the millions of people who voted in the Referendum) on cocktails boasting flavours from around the EU, including a brand new Brussels cocktail.

Designed by Blind Spot’s Bar Manager, Chris Ariza, the Spin the Globe cocktail menu launched last year and is an exercise in world exploration, inspired by the scents, flavours and histories of iconic global destinations. The EU-inspired flavours are as vibrant and dynamic as the countries themselves, from the fragrant Bombay Sapphire gin, Ouzo liqueur, orange juice, honey syrup, and Greek yoghurt of Santorini, Greece to the zingy Gin Mare, lemon and thyme cordial, orange bitters, and olive oil drops of Barcelona, Spain. A new menu addition is Brussels, Belgium, highlighting both decadently rich and citrusy notes of lemon, honey water, and double cream mixed with Genever and Cointreau.

Hidden within St Martins Lane hotel in the heart of Covent Garden, Blind Spot is set behind the façade, of a boutique tea counter and a secret golden hand-shaped handle. The offer will run for 27 days, from May 1 to 27 May, with the number of days representing the number of EU countries without the UK, and is available upon quoting “Brexit”. Please see full Brexit cocktail list below.

St Martins Lane hotel is part of the House of Originals brand, launched in March 2019: a luxury collection of properties from sbe featuring a bold spirit that challenges and inspires.
