London’s Ramadan Lights are back, and this year, they’re bigger, brighter, and tastier than ever. Returning for a third year, Ramadan Lights London 2025 will once again transform the West End into a dazzling display of faith, culture, and unity. But this year, there’s more than just the stunning aerial light installation. Expect a brand-new interactive experience, London’s first-ever Iftar Food Trail, and a community-driven lantern project.
From 28th February to 6th April, Coventry Street will glow every night from 5:00pm to 5:00am, honouring the spirit of Ramadan and Eid. Plus, with exclusive dining deals, prayer space maps, and interactive installations, the whole city is invited to join in the celebrations.
Ramadan Lights London: A Celebration of Unity and Culture
Ramadan Lights London first lit up the city in 2023, making history as the first Western European city to feature aerial Ramadan lights. Organised and sponsored by the Aziz Foundation, the stunning display has since become a symbol of inclusion, diversity, and interfaith harmony.
This year’s theme, ‘Spread The Light’, focuses on community, generosity, and unity. Over 30,000 LED lights will dance above Coventry Street, shifting from “Happy Ramadan” to “Happy Eid” on 30th March, ensuring the festivities continue through to 6th April.
What’s New for 2025? More Than Just Lights
Ramadan Lights London is about more than just aesthetics. This year’s edition features a host of new experiences, inviting Londoners and visitors alike to engage in the celebrations.
The ‘Spread The Light’ Interactive Installation
For the first time, Leicester Square will host a participatory light installation. Visitors can press a button to send beams of light soaring up the structure, symbolising the spirit of Ramadan. Inspired by traditional Islamic geometric designs, this striking installation will be live until 1st April 2025.
Finding Prayer Spaces Has Never Been Easier
Planning your night out but worried about finding a place to pray? This year, an interactive online map will guide visitors to nearby prayer spaces, making it easy to balance festivities with faith.
Join the Community Lantern Project
This year, Ramadan Lights London invites everyone across the UK to participate in the ‘Spread The Light’ lantern project. Families and individuals can download a lantern pattern, decorate it, and share their creations on social media. The aim? To spread the spirit of Ramadan beyond the West End and into homes across the country.
