Fenchurch Restaurant: New Look, New Menus & Counter Dining By Kerth Gumbs

Credit: Roche Communications

A year into the remarkable collaboration between Head Chef Kerth Gumbs and Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, Fenchurch Restaurant, located on the 37th floor of the building that houses Sky Garden, unveils a breath-taking transformation. The refurbishment, marked by the introduction of Kerth’s spring tasting menu and a new casual counter dining experience, further cements Fenchurch’s reputation as one of the city’s most iconic dining destinations.

Tropical Interiors

The newly reimagined Fenchurch transports diners to a tropical oasis amidst the city’s dazzling skyline with vibrant tropical-themed accents, pops of colour and botanical lighting, reflecting Kerth’s Caribbean roots and his playful, creative approach to fine dining. The introduction of a new counter dining option and a lounge area provides a casual setting for guests to savour Kerth’s new creative small plates and grill dishes, all made for sharing.  Amplifying the experience at the weekends will be a resident DJ, setting the mood with Caribbean rhythms to complement the flavours on the plate.

Sensational Spring Tasting Menu

Kerth’s new tasting menu is bursting with exciting and unexpected dishes inspired by the tastes and flavours of his childhood home, the Caribbean Island of Anguilla, and showcases his passion for British ingredients.  As one would expect from Kerth, the menu is elevated and innovative, without compromising on fun or authenticity. Each of the nine courses, from torched jerk salmon with spring onions and yuzu ponzu sauce to seabass with salt fish, smoked oyster, and Scotch bonnet emulsion, delivers on flavour and presentation. Don’t miss out on Kerth’s pre-dessert treat of soursop lolly with rum and lime gummy bear, a palate cleanser that sets the stage for dessert.

Dishes can be beautifully adapted for plant-based diets with each course available with perfectly matched wines by the glass or creative cocktails, ranging from an Aged Negroni to Rum Soul featuring rum, Fenchurch cordial, Lillet Blanc and lime juice. The new tasting menu is priced at £95pp, with wine and cocktail pairings available for an additional £75pp and £65pp respectively.

Casual Dining at Fenchurch

For those looking for a more informal affair, the new counter menu can be enjoyed in the lounge or pull up a stool at the bar. Choose from a variety of ‘pick & mix’ small plates, including cured jerk salmon ceviche, fried plantain, whisky BBQ wings, and chilli fries served with Scotch bonnet mayo. For those looking to share, the menu offers grilled dishes like baby chicken, spice lamb fillet, and aged sirloin, as well as seafood options like sea bream, tiger prawns, and glazed black cod.

Fenchurch Restaurant is open Thursday to Sunday for lunch, and Wednesday to Sunday for dinner.
