The Shape of Things to Come

International non-profit arts organisation ArtCan is launching a new group exhibition, The Shape of Things to Come at Gallery 475, Fulham Road, London.

“A sculptor is a person obsessed with the form and the shape of things, and it’s not just the shape of any one thing, but the shape of anything and everything.”  Henry Moore

Running from the 21st – 24th May, the show will celebrate how ArtCan member artists explore the theme of shape and form; the infinite possibilities which arise when shape and form are subject to adaptation and change in the hands of an artist. The gallery will be open Tuesday to Friday between 10am – 6pm.

The exhibition private view will take place on Tuesday 21st May from 6.30pm – 8pm, with registration via Eventbrite.

Curator Caroline Wheaton says: “I was initially drawn to sculpture over a decade ago by the sheer variety and mix of skills that the different types of sculpture require.  Within the ArtCan community we are lucky to have a huge body of talent, so it is a delight to be able to work with this brilliant team of curators to showcase a suitably diverse mix of materials and subject matter in Fulham this spring.”

And curator Miranda Barber added: “I am pleased to be a part of the team to curate The Shape of Things to Come, an exhibition  which focuses on the myriad of different styles and forms created by some of the accomplished sculptors within the ArtCan community.
