Richmond is about to get a serious flavour upgrade. Ottolenghi, the name that’s practically synonymous with abundant salads, dreamy pastries, and that legendary shakshuka, is opening its first-ever location south of the river. That’s right, from February 26th, Ottolenghi Richmond will be dishing out all the vibrant, fresh, and flavour-packed plates that Londoners can’t get enough of—plus a few brand-new surprises.

A New Home for Ottolenghi in Richmond

For years, Ottolenghi has reigned supreme in North and Central London. Now, it’s crossing the Thames and setting up shop in the happiest place to live in London (according to the surveys, anyway). The picturesque riverside setting of 36 Hill Street, Richmond is about to become home to an all-day Ottolenghi deli and restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and takeaways with a side of Richmond charm.

Founder Yotam Ottolenghi is already feeling the love for the area. “I love walking along the river in the summer and I can’t wait to be here in all seasons,” he says. And Richmond locals? Get ready to be spoiled for choice.

What’s on the Menu?

The breakfast menu is stacked with Ottolenghi’s greatest hits, from buttermilk pancakes to the iconic shakshuka with smoked labneh and grilled focaccia. Expect rich, wholesome flavours, perfect for starting the day right (or nursing a hangover).

Lunchtime means a glorious display of Ottolenghi salads, piled high with seasonal produce and bursting with colour. Think char-grilled broccoli with chilli and garlic, roasted aubergine with yoghurt, and a Richmond-exclusive lineup of brand-new dishes. If bold, zesty, and herb-packed plates are your thing, you’re in luck.

Wine, Cocktails & Sweet Treats

What’s an Ottolenghi meal without a great drink? The Richmond outpost will boast a selection of natural and biodynamic wines, including Ottolenghi’s very own bottles. A lively cocktail menu will be available for those who prefer their lunch with a little extra buzz.

And, of course, the pastries and cakes will be as indulgent as ever. Picture towering meringues, rich tarts, and delicate pastries, all made fresh and impossible to resist.

Ottolenghi Comes to You

Planning a party, work event, or just want to impress your friends with next-level food? Ottolenghi Richmond will offer extensive catering options, from breakfast spreads to full sit-down dinners. Whether you need celebration cakes, show-stopping salads, or a canapé selection that steals the show, they’ve got you covered.

You can even order straight to your door via Slerp and Deliveroo, meaning you don’t even need to leave the house to get your Ottolenghi fix.

A Space Designed for Feasting

If you’ve ever been to an Ottolenghi deli, you’ll know the interiors are as elegant as the food. Richmond’s location is no exception. Designed by longtime Ottolenghi collaborator Alex Meitlis, the space will feature a sleek yet welcoming aesthetic, with bespoke artwork by Gilles & Cecilie Studio adding that signature Ottolenghi charm.

Ottolenghi Richmond officially opens on February 26th. Whether you’re stopping by for a lazy breakfast, a salad-packed lunch, or just a quick takeaway, this is about to become your new go-to spot.
