Alternative Arts presents a diverse collection of images by black British photographers, drawn from their consecutive black history month exhibitions in 2021, 2022 & 2023. Celebrating contemporary culture and black British identity, the exhibition is a compelling journey of visual storytelling through a variety of perspectives, platforming both emerging and established photographers. The exhibition has been curated by Alternative Arts’ Director, Maggie Pinhorn, and renowned East End photographer, Sarah Ainslie.
All are invited to celebrate Black History Month by exploring this thought-provoking exhibition, which is available to view online for the month of October, accompanied by information on each photographer and complimentary text for their photographs.
