4 ultimate anti-detox places in London

For those not wanting to drink celery juice or eat copious amounts of buckwheat this January we have rounded up the ultimate anti-detox treats to satisfy those cravings.

Burger & Beyond

Burger favourites Burger & Beyond have now opened doors to their first restaurant at 147 Shoreditch High Street that brings their signature buns to a permanent site for the very first time, as well as a new expanded menu. Sure to steer you off your detox is one of their new burgers The Bougie Burg made from 2x aged beef patties, cold smoked American cheese, steak sauce 2.0, marrownaise and beef fat onions.
It’s not just the burgers that are indulgent, go ‘beyond’ with their small plates including Lamb nuggets with burnt onion dip, Burrata with crispy crumb and truffle and Shaved rib cap with anchovy butter.

Other Side Fried

Street food favourites Other Side Fried has added a new kiosk to their ongoing rosta of sites with the launch of their first permanent site just outside Leicester Square tube station, on Cranbourn Street.

Bringing their famed fried chicken to the masses, there is no escaping the smell of fried chicken on your commute. The menu is made up of burgers, wrap and side including Honey Butter (fried chicken, smoked honey butter, bacon, pickles and lettuce), Buffalo (fried chicken, hot sauce, ranch sauce, pickles and lettuce), The OSF (fried chicken, brown butter mayo, Parmesan, garlic and lettuce) and a vegetarian option named Celerica (fried celeriac, cheese and chive sauce, fried egg, pickles and lettuce). For a lighter option diners can choose the Fried Chicken Wrap with smoked cheese sauce. Sides include Fries with cajun rosemary salt, Dirty Fries (bacon, Parmesan and ranch sauce) and Chicken Strip with Kiev mayo.

The kiosk will act as a take away venue only, offering a grab and go option for from lunch through to late night.

Hank’s London

Following launch last year, Hank’s has undergone a makeover to make more space inside their spot at Deptford Market Yard. With these changes Hank’s has also expanded the menu to now include tacos and a selection of cocktails that sit alongside their burgers, with the addition of a new Fried Chicken Burger and craft beer bar.
The new tacos include Panko Fried Shrimp, Crispy Pork Belly, Cajun Fried Chicken, Cheeseburger and Spicy Black Bean. The cocktail menu is made up of classics like Margarita, Espresso Martini and some spins such as Peach Old Fashioned and a nod to the local area with the Earl of Deptford.

The Vurger Co

And for those who are sticking to Veganuary but still want to indulge The Vurger Co have you covered! This Veganuary, The Vurger Co launches a brand-new burger called The Kentucky, featuring crispy coated deep fried king oyster shrooms with a house-made Piri Piri sauce topped with fresh slaw. Designed as a mouthwatering addition to London’s Veganuary dishes, the burger is in collaboration with the brand’s Executive Chef Gaz Oakley and will launch on 5th January (£9.95), available from their Shoreditch and recent Canary Wharf sites.
